When this happens, it's usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it or it's been deleted. Our hearts are heavy hearing the heartbreaking news about Pastor Robert Guanco from Eastbourne, (originally from Davao) who tragically lost his life after a sign fell during the recently held #BigChurchEvent. 💔
It’s difficult to put into words how devastating such a sudden loss must be for his family, friends and the church community. We're sure Pastor Robert was a much-loved and valued presence in Eastbourne, and that his life touched many people in ways that will not be forgotten.
Sending our deepest condolences and prayers to his loved ones and to everyone who is grieving this tragic loss. May God comfort them and give them strength in the days ahead.
May he rest in peace. 🕊️

This month, the women continued practising their lubid and bag-making skills and, together, talked about where they want this to take them. They set goals, shared ideas and started thinking beyond just making products — towards creating a small but steady source of income for their families.
We also had a family mental-health session, giving them time to talk about the pressures they face, listen to each other and simply be together.
What we love most about this project is seeing their confidence grow. It may start with a simple skill, but behind every piece they make is a woman working towards something better for herself and her family.
We’re so proud of how far they’ve come.

𝑺𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆𝒔, 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝒎𝒆𝒂𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒔𝒕.
Today, we did it again.
For the second year, Heart for Philippines, a UK-registered charity based in Highworth, brought 𝑭𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕: 𝑨 𝑺𝒑𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝑨𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒐𝒐𝒏 𝑻𝒆𝒂 𝒕𝒐 𝑮𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝑯𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝑯𝒐𝒎𝒆 — an afternoon of food, laughter, stories, friendship and togetherness.
Made possible with the generous support of the BIG Highworth Community Foundation, this is our little way of giving back to our community and reminding our elderly that they are seen, valued and never forgotten.
Today was even more special because 𝑩𝒆𝒏, 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔, 𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝟔𝟓𝒕𝒉 𝒃𝒊𝒓𝒕𝒉𝒅𝒂𝒚! We were delighted to celebrate with him — complete with cake, singing and plenty of smiles!
A heartfelt thank you to our long-standing partner and friend, Pan de Manille, for catering the afternoon and adding a wonderful Filipino touch. 🇵🇭
And thank you to 𝑭𝒆𝒛𝒂𝒏 𝑰𝒔𝒍𝒂𝒎 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒛𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑮𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝑯𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒓𝒔, and to all our 𝒘𝒐𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑷𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔 𝒗𝒐𝒍𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒇𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒔who gave their time, energy and love to make today possible.
It may have been just an afternoon tea, but we hope it brought a little more joy, connection and love. ❤️

In 𝑪𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔 𝑺𝒖𝒓 alone, 15,251 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒔 have been identified as struggling readers—the highest number among school divisions in the Philippines.
Behind that number are thousands of children who need our help.
At Heart for Philippines, we believe access to books can change lives. That’s why we send books to 𝒑𝒖𝒃𝒍𝒊𝒄 𝒔𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍𝒔, 𝒅𝒂𝒚𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒔, 𝒍𝒊𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒄𝒓𝒐𝒔𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔.

But we don't want to stop there.
